I really never understood why they always compare NASCAR and INDY the only thing they have in common is 4 wheels. one is 2000s tech and the other is 1960s. Its like comparing a motorcycle and a 4 wheeler.

F1 has a lot more downforce, if that had flat wings like Indy car, they would be faster.

NASCAR isnt even significantly slower than f1. Perez pulled a max of 216 at Monza in 2011, and Ambrose pulled aprox. 218 at Michigan last year. Indy blows both away with over 230 at Indy. But speed dosnt mean great racing right away.

One more thing I don’t understand is how people say how Forumula1 and Indy Car are better than NASCAR cause they go faster. Well any diehard fan of motorsports knows, faster speeds do NOT make for better racing. Some of the best NASCAR races I have seen are on the short tracks like Bristol, Martinsville, Richmond. So although F1 and Indy Car go faster, NASCAR racing is overall so much better and exciting to watch

NASCAR rules. Faster speeds like Formula1 and Indy car do not make better racing

Both are great series in their own right. I prefer NASCAR personally but both are great

    It’s not a “nascar” It’s a nascar car… that’s like calling a football an nfl.

Basically, IndyCar > F1 > NASCAR in my opinion. But I’m bias so that doesn’t mean much.
